Track Premiere: Nuclear Remains – “Thermobaric Asphyxiation”

Downwind from the long burned out mushroom clouds birthed from man’s fascination with destruction within the Nevada desert circa 1953, brutal and horrific death metal has risen from the ash of Phoenix, Arizona.

Enter Nuclear Remains, a vicious quartet of death metal purists who draw influence from the pantheon of the greats; from Skinless to Dying Fetus and Mortal Decay.

No question, vocalist Aiden Santelli, guitarist Anthony Fazio, bassist Gabe Villont, and drummer Anthony Buchowski play for keeps on their debut LP Dawn of Eternal Suffering, with Decibel proudly premiering their latest pulverizing offering to the void, “Thermobaric Asphyxiation”.

“‘Thermobaric Asphyxiation’ is one of the more recent tunes that we wrote for the album, it definitely has a faster pace to it than some of the other songs on the album, which is really saying something because most of the tracks are already pretty fast,” shared guitarist Anthony Fazio in an exclusive statement to Decibel, adding in emphatic fashion:

“Thermobaric Asphyxiation” really delves into the gore and sheer terror of the initial impact of a thermobaric bomb, how it rips the air out of your lungs and leaves a mangled husk of a human being behind.”

Following up on their lauded 2022’s four-song Radioactive Decomposition demo and upward momentum procured playing alongside Defeated Sanity, Devourment, Cenotaph, and Malignancy, Nuclear Remains are fixed to uncork their own form of the atomic bomb with Dawn Of Eternal Suffering.

“Tripling down on the brutality,” Fazio states, “the new LP expands on the horrific realities and consequences of nuclear war and thermonuclear brutal death!”

Dawn Of Eternal Suffering was recorded at Infrasound Studio in Queen Creek, Arizona, mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios, and completed with artwork by Colter Masson and logo by Dylan Perry.

NUCLEAR REMAINS’ Dawn Of Eternal Suffering will be released through Maggot Stomp on LP, CD, CS, and digital platforms on July 14th.
