For the past twelve years and going hard, the Gainesville-based extreme metal unit Hot Graves have combined death and black metal with crossover and hardcore for their own blend of violent and catchy jams. Recently rejuvenated by the addition of drummer J. Mamo and vocalist J. Stewart, these evil Floridian ear abusers stand on the brink of unleashing what may be their most combustible material yet. Dubbed Haunted Graves, Hot Graves’ latest effort was recorded at WarHouse Studios by J. Howard, and features the artwork from TomorrowGhost.
“The Haunted Graves EP is an introduction to this new chapter in Hot Graves’ book ov blasphemy, with our new drummer and singer,” writes the band. “As such, ‘Ruination Supremacy’ is significant because not only is it the 50th all-time Hot Graves composition, but it marks the first song written in full collaboration with all current members. It’s an ode to cathartic destruction, laden with utter ferocity, so we think it’s a perfect way to introduce our new lineup to the world.”
