Russian symphonic metal group Dreamsense have a flair for the dramatic and epic on their new single “Glasswall.” Driven by groovy guitars and the soaring, operatic vocals of George Ognev, with symphonic instrumentation lifting the song up, “Glasswall” is one of the catchiest songs of its kind I have heard this year.
“This song is about trying to deal with a pain from the past, overcoming it and ‘getting yourself together,'” says guitarist Ilya Dykin. “I wanted to write an easy, dark and groovy riff, so then main riff of the song accidentally came out, I was really pleased with the result. Showed it to George and he finished the song exactly like I saw it in my head.”
You can follow Dreamsense on their website for more information about a full-length following “Glasswall,” which you can stream below.
