Black metal’s rising stars Uada have an undeniable flair for the dramatic. In just a few short years, the hooded melodic black metal group have found a distinct aesthetic and quickly climbed through the ranks of the genre with their albums, 2016’s Devoid of Light and 2018 follow-up, Cult of a Dying Sun. In celebration of four years since Uada’s formation, the quartet have released a brand new video for “Cult of a Dying Sun.”
Like Uada’s other videos, “Cult of a Dying Sun” takes place in an outdoor setting. Bandleader (and video director) Jake Superchi—barefoot, robed and sporting ghoulish face paint—traverses the landscape to meet with a masked figure. We won’t spoil the ending for you, but we will say that the video is a must-watch.
Cult of a Dying Sun is out now via Eisenwald.
Don’t forget: Uada will perform with heavy metal legends Armored Saint for the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles Pre-Fest at the iconic Troubador venue. Only 80 tickets remain and they are dwindling fast.
