On November 8, death-grinders Earthburner will unleash their debut album, Permanent Dawn, via M-Theory Audio. To celebrate, they’ll storm the stage at Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Denver on December 7, sharing the bill with heavyweights like Yob, Cirith Ungol, and Pallbearer. Exclusively today, get a sneak peek at the live-lyric video for their single “Slaves to the Screen,” featuring former Napalm Death guiarist/vocalist Mitch Harris, premiering right here, right now.

Guitarist Jeremy Wagner couldn’t be more excited: “Earthburner is beyond stoked to be part of the Decibel Metal & Beer Fest this year. M&BF is one of the greatest metal festivals in the States, and we’re honored to be part of this edition. We’ll be playing this fest just after the release of our debut album—Permanent Dawn—and this will be EB’s first post-release show.”

Founded during Broken Hope’s hiatus in 2002 by Jeremy Wagner, Earthburner was born to deliver relentless grind with themes of afterworld bleakness and contemporary horror. Over the years, Wagner has written and demoed material, amassing a global following. In March 2023, Earthburner returned stronger than ever, recording a full-length album with a new lineup: stepson Tyler Affinito on bass and vocalist Devin Swank. They recorded at Criteria Recording Studios in Miami and Hypercube Studios in Chicago, featuring guest spots from Napalm Death’s Mitch Harris, Immolation’s Ross Dolan, and Vixen Maw’s Jake Cannavale. The current lineup includes Devin Swank on vocals, Jeremy Wagner on guitars, Mike Miczek on drums, Tyler Affinito on bass, and Mitch Harris on backup vocals.

Want to know what else is cool? There are two versions of the Earthburner album—one digital and one analog. Mike Fuller mastered the digital version, and Scott Creekmore mastered the analog version. Permanent Dawn showcases artwork by Fabrice Lavollay, produced by Tommy McWilliams and Jeremy Wagner, mixed by Scott Creekmore, and mastered by Mike Fuller of Fullersound (digital version) and Scott Creekmore (analog version).
