Cell are dropping their new track, “Incarcerated by Flesh.” This song is the first offering from a soon-to-be-announced album, forthcoming through Unbeaten Records. If these relentless breakdowns and crushing refrains are any indication, the mystery record is gonna be good.
This heavy-as-hell metallic hardcore band hail from Oklahoma City and released several single tracks and a split in 2021 and 2022. Hopefully, this is the year we’ll get a full album of music from the group.
“Incarcerated By Flesh” takes the blunt force intensity of bands like Bodysnatcher and spruce it up with even more diversity and nimbleness in the riffing. Definitely recommended for those who like their music to hit them over the head.
Vocalist Skyler Conder says about the song: “‘Incarcerated By Flesh’ is based around feeling trapped internally. With some of the things I went through the past year, I fought through a lot of emotions and had to find my way out of feeling stuck inside of my own skin. I guess in a sense, this is a big fuck you to the darkest depths of my mental state that I faced through those things.”
The track officially releases everywhere on July 6, the first day of their tour with Orthodox, Chamber, Momentum, and 156 Silence. Check out the tour dates below.
