Rob Fusco (One King Down, ex-Most Precious Blood) is not one to sit idly by. Rather than letting the pandemic diminish his output, the prolific lyricist simply rolled up the sleeves on his cut-off shirt and got to work on a new band. Teaming up with Insvrgence guitarist Rafe Holmes through the power of the internet, Take Life was created: Metallic hardcore as bleak and suffocating as the world it was born into. With their premiere release on the horizon, Decibel is proud to premiere the gory, NSFW video for their second single,“Leper Shepherd.”
“The song alludes to the moment of bristling realization that you are, and have always been since day one, surrounded by a conscienceless enemy who, in many cases, masquerades as those who would love you, act in your best interest, be your caretakers,” explains Fusco. “Chasing closely is the nauseating understanding that you may need to do some very unpleasant things to make it out alive if you still carry the will to do so.”
Get all the gory details from their new video below. The band’s debut album You Are Nowhere is set to be released digitally on February 11, 2022.
