California blackened hardcore band Wolf King plan to return to the stage this November, promoting their latest album, The Path of Wrath. The desire to perform is strong, though, so Wolf King recorded a live session at Rapture Recordings—the same room they recorded the album in. The 26-minute performance captures the ferocity of Wolf King’s high-energy live show, albeit in a studio setting and not in a small club.
“The set list we created for this live performance at Rapture Recordings studio is meant to convey what a real, in-person Wolf King set would feel like,” the band tells Decibel. “We recorded this performance in the same location that we recorded the majority of “The Path of Wrath” album, in an attempt to capture the feeling and sound of the record while still maintaining the intimate and ruthless atmosphere of a live Wolf King show.”
