No afternoon delights are to be found here, just nightmares. Brooklyn’s Natur has returned to continue their old-school metal crusade with the release of Afternoon Nightmare, due out on March 20 via Crypt of the Wizard and Blasphlegmy Records. The title track blazes with all the fury of the late 70s and early 80s, adds a touch of Kill em’ All, and brings that leather-clad spirit into the future. It’s a rip-roaring good time for fans of glorious no-nonsense heavy metal.
According to the band:
This record sounds like a motorcycle gang gatecrashing a party in a haunted house. Wall-to-wall riffs peppered throughout with heebie-jeebie horror synths that will leave you feeling like MacReady surrounded by burning rubble and passing that bottle of whiskey.
Well, with all the metaphorical rubble burning around us right now, I think we could all use that bottle right about now (maybe wipe it down first). Check out the title track to Afternoon Nightmare below and get those spike-laden fists pumping.
