Death metal heroes Carcass are still putting the finishing touches on their follow-up to their universally acclaimed 2013 album Surgical Steel, but deluxe Decibel subscribers will get a first taste of the first new Carcass material is six years. “Under the Scalpel Blade” was recorded as part of the session for the Liverpool legends’ seventh studio LP (due out in 2020 on Nuclear Blast), but if you want it in your earholes, you’ll need an active deluxe Decibel subscription by Monday, November 4 at 12pm EST.
And if you wanna hear what “Under the Scalpel Blade” sounds like live, you’ll get your first chance on December 14 when Carcass headline the closing night of this year’s Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles at the Observatory.
