Beginning in 2008, Lucifera have built a reputation in their home country as a tireless and powerful force of evil metal supremacy. The Colombian duo have released three full lengths—as well as numerous other releases—over the past decade. But with their new album La Caceria De Brujas, Lucifera have crafted their most deadly record yet.
Says guitarist D. HellRazor: “A very clear point for us is to believe that Metal is still a war against many social paradigms, part of the culture and especially the culture of Latin America, are their religious beliefs, political, social, etc., this repressive collective and harmful has managed to bury our true warrior and proud culture, adopting manners from other regions and making them their own, also happens in Latin American metal, many forgotten of their roots and the reason why metal has always gone against dogmas and repressive social strata, we always rescue and remember for what and why we do this, it is not fashion, it is not trend, it is not culture, it is not politically correct, it is not accepted, it is not family, it is not love, it is not light, it is always against dogmas constituted by false human emotions and false illusions imposed by governments and religions! The Metal Music is ELITE! Lucifera will remain standing until one of the two founding members decides it was enough or simply dies! meanwhile, the Metal of the south of Colombia will continue roaring . . .”
La Caceria De Brujas represents eight tracks of evil death thrash played in the ancient metal tradition. The music is focused, the playing is tight, and the themes are sinister, but something like reckless fun also runs through this record. Check out this exclusive premiere of “Pacto Pagano,” track number 5 from Lucifera’s new album La Caceria De Brujas — out February 25th on German label Dunkelheit Produktionen.
