Death metal quartet Vanhelgd have risen from the Swedish underground to reveal their latest album, Deimos Sanktuarium. Clocking in at seven dark, suffocating songs, Deimos Sanktuarium maintains an oppressive atmosphere throughout its duration; mid-tempo riffs churn, occasionally melting into faster, tremolo-picked sections.
Topped off with eerie melodies and murky production, Deimos Sanktuarium drags you into death metal’s thickest, most-lightless territory and spits you back out with the fading notes of “Här finns ingen nåd.”
Deimos Sanktuarium will be dragged into the light on October 12 thanks to Dark Descent, but it’s available for streaming now.
