Though you might not recognize the name Vanik off the top of your head, many Decibel readers are undoubtedly familiar with the guitarist—who lends his name to his band—from his tenure as a live member for black/speed metal rippers Midnight. The band Vanik are slated to release their second LP, II Dark Season, in late October through Shadow Kingdom; combining heavy metal with sleazy punk, Vanik rip through charged-up rockers that worship Halloween, horror and anything in between.
Today, Decibel premieres new song “Heresy Undertow,” the eighth song on Dark Season and what Vanik himself describes as “probably my personal favorite track on the record as I believe we as a band captured the energy I wanted to convey.”
