Dante’s Divine Comedy is ripe with themes that could be used by a metal band, and mysterious Italian black metal cult Kyterion have taken full advantage of that on new album Inferno II. Based on “Inferno,” the first part of Divine Comedy, Inferno II is a raging, yet melodic, album.
To make it even more authentic? Inferno II‘s lyrics are written entirely in thirteenth century Italian vernacular.
“With our new album Inferno II, we want to reveal the blackest part of our soul,” Kyterion state. “The new circles of hell will make you feel the true suffering of the Inferno’s sinners.”
Inferno II is out on May 4 via Subsound Records.
