Dutch black metal entity Verwoed have honed their songwriting skills over the course of two EPs (one as Woudloper) before readying themselves to issue De Val, their first full-length. As demonstrated by the title track, streaming below, Verwoed have an affinity for dense yet atmospheric, melodic black metal.
“‘De Val’ (the fall) refers to the fall from paradise (Lucifer) and breaking free from rules, law and tyranny,” says frontman Erik B. “That is mainly what Verwoed is about. Tearing apart the flesh so that the soul may roam free in the endless nothing/chaos that comes after death.”
Del Val does not currently have a release date set. Follow Argento Records for updates.
