Austrian post black metal duo Harakiri for the Sky have quietly made a name for themselves in the underground, self-releasing a trio of lush atmospheric albums through their own Art of Propaganda label. It’s the band’s stunning fourth LP, Arson, however, which is set to break them to a much wider audience, and Decibel is honored to debut another track from the record. Vocalist J.J. provides some lyrical and emotional context for “Stillborn.”
“The lyrics of ‘Stillborn’ are obviously about the pros and cons of antidepressants and/or self medication,” he says “Pills like Prozac and others may help for a while but just make you numb after a couple of months. This is why many people drop them from one day to the other, what leads to severe depression again. A never-ending circle…”
Arson is out on February 16 via AOP Records. Pre-order a copy here.
