Denver death metal trio Pile of Priests are looking toward the future while also thinking of the masters who came before them on their new EP, Tenebrous Labyrinth. The first half of Tenebrous is a trio of original songs, with the second half being a trio of covers from thrash metal bands who influenced Pile of Priests’ sound (Kreator, Coroner, Sadus).
The covers are a nice touch, reworked to fit with the death metal sounds of the rest of Tenebrous Labyrinth. The EP drops on Friday and can be purchased here.
