French death metal legion Impureza have developed a unique style that takes influence from Spanish flamenco music as it does from death metal. Combining flamenco guitars with their dizzying technical death metal assault, La Caída De Tonatiuh is an album that stands on its own in terms of its sound.
La Caída De Tonatiuh translates roughly to “The Fall of the Sun God,” and it’s easy to see why Impureza chose that title. The album is epic (boosted by beautiful cover art) and creative, and avoids coming across as gimmicky. You can hear it for yourself with a full stream of La Caída De Tonatiuh now, out November 10 through Season of Mist.
