Reunited UK sludge/doom outfit Iron Monkey are still going strong, even after almost two decades of inactivity. Their upcoming 9-13 is nihilistic, noisy and heavy, a worthy continuation of the work Iron Monkey began in the late 90’s.
Original singer J.P. Morrow died in June 2002, so original guitarist Jim Rushby has taken over vocals on 9-13. Iron Monkey’s last original material prior to 9-13 was released in 1999, the same year the band originally laid Iron Monkey to rest.
Listen to an exclusive stream of the title track to 9-13 below, and head to Relapse Records to pre-order before its October 20 release.
