To those familiar with Decibel, you’ll know that there’s been no shortage of Swedish bands in the pages and pixels. Today, we bring you another Swedish band with the debut full-length from doom metallers Domkraft.
The psychedelic doom gets in a groove and it gets loud. The End of Electricity is a hefty album, bringing seven songs of varying lengths. Opener “The Rift” is a 10-and-a-half minute slab of riffs and distortion; tracks like “Drone” provide short and flat out trippy moments of respite. Read on for a comment from Domkraft and a full stream of the album, due out November 11.
“The End of Electricity is the result of us setting out to do a really heavy and hypnotic album that’s very direct and in-your-face but still has a desolate, longing vibe to it.”
Magnetic Eye Records will release The End of Electricity on November 11. Preorders are live here.
