Decibel's RSS and XML Offerings
Currently, you may subscribe to our forum's Atom feed at: http://decibelmagazine.com/forum/feeds/?Type=atom. We plan to offer additional feeds for content published on the Decibel web site. We're almost finished with our implementation of RSS/XML functionality, and you can be notified if you sign up for our newsletter.
In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about what RSS/Atom/XML and syndication is, read below.
What Is RSS?
RSS, which stands for "Really Simple Syndication (or "Rich Site Summary")," offers an incredibly efficient method of keeping up with current news that interests you. RSS allows you to select feeds containing the type of information you want. A feed is essentially a group of headlines, brief summaries, and links to full text.
Why Should I Care About RSS?
Say you're a Milli Vanilli fan. You browse several websites on a daily basis to get a breadth of Milli Vanilli news. By signing up for a Milli Vanilli RSS feed, headlines linking to full articles from all sorts of sites will automatically come to you as often as you choose. You can skim or skip the ones you're not interested in, and open the ones you are. Furthermore, RSS is a great way to keep up with changes on your favorite news sites or weblogs.
How To Get Started With RSS
To get started with RSS, all you need is an aggregator program and a way of finding feeds. See the link below for a list of aggregators:
