Damn I kinda forget this is coming out, but I heard two new songs on their myspace and they are pretty awesome. Coalesce, along with Cave-In, Botch, and Converge were all super important bands for me as they were my second wave of liking hardcore bands (first being Integrity and Ringworm). Anyways, go check out the songs on their myspace if interested, fucking Ingram sounds as good as ever and the band is still doing some pretty unique things for hardcore

Yeah, I heard these songs a while back and if the rest of the album sounds as good, I'll be satisfied.

dillinger? as in dillinger escape plan? their last two albums blew donkey balls, i dont expect anything from them.

the 2 songs coalesce put out on a 7" 1-2 years ago were alright, i cant wait for the new album. and the thought of cave-in putting out a new album in the vein of "untill your heart stops beating" has me jacking off daily.

coalesce has always been several notches above converge...pretty much because I remeber converge back when they were super weak and bannon hadn't been through puberty yet.

Ya the new coalesce stuff sounds killer! they also have an ep coming out after the album. This is going to be the best year in long time for new tunes. And to think we just started with new napalm, agoraphobic, brutal truth. Zoinks!!!

Ditto. This album smokes. I wasn't too excited after the 2 myspace songs, but the rest of the album has some crazy tracks. Definitely top 5 2009 release IMO.

I'd wager a guess that it's got to do with him being the "Editor", and that the label releasing this album is about a spit and a half away from his desk...just a guess though!

"And I say, 'Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.' And he says, 'Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice."

It sure would be handy if someone thought up a way to get magazine folk who both write and/or review new albums a copy of an album befor it officialy comes out. The music journalism world would be turned on it's ear! The next thing you know these people woukd not have to pay for releases either. We can only hope and dream for a day which is so progressive.
