Coalesce working on new material, not breaking up so often

Have patience: New single in August

Fresh off an appearance on The People’s Court over a t-shirt printing bill, Coalesce vocalist Sean Ingram told Decibel that despite playing at least a couple of “last shows ever” in the past few years, the band is actually working on new material again. “We actually made a post on the Coalesce website about keeping the band open-ended to avoid future ‘last shows’ or ‘reunions,’” Ingram said. “We finished recording two brand-new songs for a 7-inch that will be released in August called ‘Salt and Passage.’ Later this summer, we’ll be going on the road for a couple of weeks to play our hearts out. We have other stuff in the works, but I can’t officially comment on it. In the past, any time I went into detail about what Coalesce was planning, something would come up and we wouldn’t get around to doing it. I’d prefer to keep my failures confined to The People’s Court.”
