Occasionally, it's nice to listen to things that can't be described as "brutal" or "crushing." On the flipside, who the fuck wants to listen to Modest Mouse? That's why it's nice to have bands like Watter as palate cleansers. I've had This World on my stereo every night this past week as I went to bed, its atmospheric post/Krautrock cloud banks perfect to drift into dreamland on. Despite consisting of members of Grails and Slint, this is a side project that definitively does not suck. "Small Business" features Tony Levin from King Crimson, and he's laying down all kinds of ominous here. Check it out.
***This World enters the world on May 27 thanks to Temporary Residence. Indulge here.
