2011 NFL Preview: Page Hamilton on the San Francisco 49ers

We’re just a few weeks away from the return of the NFL, thank god. So, as usual, we contacted some of our favorite extreme musicians to pump up the underachieving fuck-ups they call their favorite teams. This Thursday, Helmet heavy-hitter Page Hamilton hopes that new 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh doesn’t “drop D” (sue me, it’s late in the week) in his rookie campaign.
For the last 10 years or so, I have predicted the Niners would win the NFC West and at least one playoff game; as much as I feel like I should keep my emotions in check after years of disappointment, our division is still the worst in football and up for grabs (even though Seahawk and Cardinal fans think they rule because their teams have been to one Super Bowl each… and lost).

I will once again predict the Niners will win 10 games and recapture the NFC West after years of wallowing in mediocrity. Why do I believe this? I’m a sports fan and I’m addicted to the red and gold, and I still believe we are better than Seattle, Arizona and St. Louis. I also believe this will be a good season because as a graduate of the University of Oregon, I have watched Stanford battle my Ducks for the last several years. Jim Harbaugh is a great coach and turned a really bad football program into a really good football program. I am confident he will do the same for our football team. Let’s go Niners!
