Piece By Piece and Friend Or Foe Premiere Songs From Upcoming Compilation

Flatspot Records wants their releases to stand the test of time. The label has done this in the past by releasing compilations starring current hardcore mainstays as well as promising upstarts. The alumni list of the label’s The Extermination series supports that point — Angel Du$t, Power Trip, Turnstile, Cruel Hand and Backtrack have been featured in the past.

The Extermination Vol. 3 is on its way featuring bands like Terror and Take Offense, and we have two more songs from the comp to premiere. The first is “Hating You” by Los Angeles’ Piece by Piece. Since only one song on Piece by Piece’s 2013 LP, Primitive as Fuck, lasts longer than a minute and a half it shouldn’t come as a surprise that “Hating You” is in and out in 45 seconds.

“We are very proud to be a part of this record and we hope everyone checks it out, especially the Take Offense song,” Piece by Piece says. “Pick up some vinyl and support Flatspot Records. We wrote this song while hating you. Hope everyone hates it. “

The second song comes from Richmond straightedge outfit Friend or Foe. The NYHC influence is obvious on “Invincible,” calling to mind bands like Sick Of It All and Agnostic Front, but Friend or Foe has their own sound that separates them.

The meaning behind “Invincible” is pretty simple.

“Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the mouth,” Friend or Foe says.

Flatspot Records will release The Extermination: Vol. 3 on November 11. Get your preorder in here and listen to two other songs from the compilation here
