Temptation Reigns on Sabbath Assembly's "Fiery Angel of Desire"

Sabbath Assembly are prepared to administer more "sonic spells of misery and woe" via their self-titled fifth album, due out via Svart on September 11. "This song is based on a book of the same name by Valery Bryusov," says drummer David Christian. "It's an occult tale about a man who becomes enchanted with a witchy, supernatural woman; he gives her all his personal power, leaving him extremely vulnerable to her charms -- and abuse. So, the song is basically a love song about the traps that 'desire' can lead us into, and the occult angle gives the song a double meaning of how this theme can relate to human relationships, as well as those between human and the divine."
