Next week, Denver heavies Abrams crash any party worth a damn with their self-released debut Lust. Love. Loss. They could have added another L-word, just to warn everybody with tender ears: LOUD. (What did you think I was gonna say?) It doesn't take long for this sort of music to either make its impact or fall flat and spread thin, so it's with great pleasure that we report LLL is a nimble crusher, managing to steamroll and get down with its bad semi-melodic self all at the same time. Of course, it is impossible to play this thunderously and roar this bleakly without sprouting a mass of wiry chin pubes, so you will likely be reminded of Baroness, Mastodon and occasionally Neurosis, but only ever in a good way.
Not sure how you'll react when it comes time to nab this thing (available on CD, cassette, and digital, with vinyl to follow later) on June 16? Check out the new video for late cut "Useless" and find out what's what. The video was made by Andrew Baxter and Cole Jenkins, and it's definitely a trip. You can find out more about Abrams here, or at their Facebook page or Bandcamp site. You've been warned.
