There’s a scene on the self-shot documentary of this three-disc collection, one of the various entitled an “Exodus Non-Metal Moment,” where guitarist Gary Holt is spotted backstage applying age-defying wrinkle cream to the area around his eyes. The funny thing isn’t that notorious rager Holt would be worried about anything beyond Exodus, guitars and beer, but that he doesn’t look like someone who’d take commercials starring Sarah Jessica Parker to heart. None of the dudes do—especially drummer Tom Hunting, who’s been there since day one, when he formed the band alongside a guy named Kirk Hammett. —Kevin Stewart-Panko
