Reanimated classic Canadian thrashers bridge the generation gap
I can’t even really put it into words,” gushes Sacrifice guitarist/vocalist Rob Urbinati when asked about “The Banger’s Embrace,” the loving tribute to his band that appeared on Propagandhi’s latest album. “When their CD was done, Todd [Kowalski] from the band sent a copy to me, and I had no idea that was on there. I put it on and I was reading through the book, and I kind of skipped ahead while I was listening to it a bit, just reading through stuff, and a bit of our lyrics caught my eye, and I thought, What’s this? I couldn’t believe it. I told those guys that was probably the best thing I ever got from being in Sacrifice. I don’t care if we get a Grammy or a Juno or whatever; that means way more than any of that.”
