Hear New Torche Track “King Beef” Here!

The Deciblog (with an assist from our friends at Scion A/V) is honored to premier Torche’s “King Beef,” the recording debt of the band as a trio. (In late 2008 guitarist Juan Montoya took his Brent Hinds impersonation elsewhere). Though the new track retains the heaviness of Torche’s self-titled debut and 2008’s Decibel Album of the Year-award-winner Meanderthal, it finds the Miami-based group moving in a new direction.

“It’s the total anti-hit,” says Hydra Head Records label manager Mark Thompson. “The type of track you write after you win album of the year. It says to your new fans ‘get lost if you’re not with us for the long haul.’ P.S. Sugary poppy new Torche full-length coming June 2010!”

“King Beef” is taken from Torche’s upcoming split 10-inch with Boris, due out on Hydra Head in February.

Awesome! Went to the Hydra Head site to preorder, but there was no info. Can't wait to hear more!!!

I like it.

Oh cool, Godflesh!

I've had this track for like two months. I'm a baaad boy

Tune in, Turn on, Drop out. Isn't that the old addage? There's the Torche I fell in love with. That tone...that sludge! \m/\m/ This is going to be one kick ass 10"

Do people really get that annoyed when they hit a pop like stride?

it's been available on the japanese version since August. HH is taking forever putting out the US release.

now, ladies and gentlemen, that is how you follow up a killer record. release a single just as good, if not better than anything else youve done before!

yea this rules in a totally different way than Meanderthal, an awesome piece of badassery in itself.

They better get a burger @ Kuma's because of this.

Even a gay can be heavy. That's a nice track!

I just went "moo" in my pants. Such a great track!

This reminds me of some of the tracks from In Return. Good stuff.

Heard this tune live last year on their european tour. Killer!
