Between The Buried And Me “Obfuscation” video released

Heavy metal -- though one might be reluctant to label Between The Buried And Me as strictly heavy metal -- concept videos are usually full of WTF moments. And not WTF in a Lynchian or arthouse WTF way either. Concept videos are normally ill-conceived visual events that rarely, if ever, connect to or enhance the song they're meant to promote. Like Katatonia's "A Day Then Shade" video. But here, progcore stalwarts Between The Buried And Me sort of succeed where so many have failed. At least I think so.

I'll give that top five video of the year props, but the "it was all just a daydream" cliche can suck a dick.

Yeah. More alien-oriented carnage in that apocolyptic future wouldn't hurt. Love that guitar break in the middle when the kid is preparing for battle with his pocket knife.
