Classic Swedish death metallers Nirvana 2002 never released a full-length. Didn't tour Europe. Or the states. But that didn't stop frontman and ex-Entombed (for the sexcellent Crawl EP) growler Orvar Säfström from assembling Nirvana 2002's lost and rare recordings for Relapse Records. Originally slated for release by Relapse in 2002, Recordings 89-91 is here now. Seven years later. When the time is right. When old-school death metal rages again.

One of the best songs of Swedish death metal, and the "Disembodied Spirits" demo kicks just as much ass! Can't wait for the CD release.

The tracks are very raw, but the songwriting is ace all the way through, even the really rough stuff.
