Italians grind up coffee, blast beats and political correctness
I talians are notorious for traveling heavy. They care about food and fashion, and damned if they sacrifice those things on the road. When I hosted two Italian students recently, they brought not only an army’s worth of luggage, but also kitchen utensils and fresh ingredients from the grocery store. They then cooked me the best arrabbiata I’ve ever had. (Note to self: Host more Italians.) Likewise, when Asti’s Cripple Bastards recorded in Sweden’s Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordström (At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames), they brought Italian food and coffee and cooked in the studio. Nordström’s probably also telling himself to produce more Italian bands.
